We believe private ownership allows our Boards of Directors and managers to make sound, prudent decisions that will strengthen our business interests over the long term, multigenerational, future.  We believe our focus on long term organizational and financial strength will lead to increased opportunities for all of our coworkers, managers, and owners.

We truly believe "It's About People."  We work diligently to earn the respect and enthusiastic participation of everyone in each of our companies.  While we have acquired title to many different assets, we are sensitive to the fact that we do not acquire people.  They "gotta, wanna."  And we work to help them "wanna."

We empower committed people and management teams to grow their individual businesses and contribute their talent and creativity to the growth of the Enterprise as a whole through regular exchange of experience. 

We don't and won't have a staff of functional experts at corporate headquarters telling managers of our companies what to do. ("Princes at Court that tell Barons how to run their Provinces,"Management and Machiavelli, by Antony Jay, Holt Rinehart Winston,1967, NY.).

We encourage management initiative with long term equity-like financial incentives.

We expect ourselves and our managers to be held accountable by Boards of Directors made up predominantly of Independent Executives free of any vested or financial interest in our companies.
