Ownership Continuity: We pledge to maintain private ownership of our collective business interests, to govern them through predominantly independent boards of directors, and to reinvest earnings sufficient to ensure the long-term growth and development of our businesses for the benefit of coworkers, customers, and owners.
Stewardship: We pledge to live up to our role as trusted stewards of our family business enterprise by working through the Business Advisory Counsel in communicating with the Boards of Directors and Management of each business to ensure that our businesses reflect our shared family values, vision, leadership, and goals.

Integrity: We pledge to carry our family values of honesty, respect for each other, integrity, responsibility, health and wellness, focus on family, excellence in performance, open communication, learning, and teamwork into all our interactions with family, coworkers, customers, and the communities in we operate.
Education: We pledge to adequately prepare and educate ourselves and succeeding generations for responsible and effective ownership and stewardship of our business assets, and toward this end we will work to empower all family members to be involved in, and informed about, our family governance process.
Merit: We pledge to ensure that merit and competence will determine family participation in the business, and that family members are not favored or discriminated against with respect to terms and conditions of employment in businesses owned by our family.
Communication: We pledge to strive for open communication of ideas, agreement, and family harmony as keys to our success, while actively listening and finding constructive ways to voice our opinions and resolve conflict.
Participation: We pledge to participate and work within the family governance process to achieve our goals, while keeping all family business discussions private and confidential; respecting each others' opinions without divisiveness, personal criticism, or blame.
