DEMCO, Inc.
Demco is the original company within the Wall Family Enterprise, having been acquired in 1978 by then-President John Wall. The company has served the needs of librarians in the U.S. for more than 100 years, and today markets more than 50,000 products for schools and libraries. Roughly half of Demco’s sales are to school (K-12) libraries, 30% to public libraries, and the rest are to academic (university) and other libraries. From a product perspective about 50% of sales are attributable to the Supplies product category, with the remainder coming from Furniture, Equipment, and Learning Materials. In addition, through its DI (Demco Interiors) brand, the company provides interior design, furnishing, and installation services to new/refurbished libraries.
